Here’s what’s amazing about R Kelly’s talent. He sounds like he’s just talking normally, and his voice just happens to be perfectly in tune, on the beat, no auto tune or editing needed. Not sure if I’m explaining this but basically he doesn’t even sound like he’s trying to sing. It sounds completely effortless. I can’t think of any other artist who can do this. With most artists, there is a clear distinction between their everyday talking voice and their singing voice. Even in this song, K Michelle clearly sounds like she’s making an “effort” to sing the words. Kells sounds like he just casually got on the mic, started talking normally, and it happened to be the perfect performance.
